Psychological capital, innovators’ DNA and innovative behaviour

Orientation: This study was positioned within the field of positive psychology, specifically organisational behaviour scholarship (POBS). Research purpose: The aim research to investigate relationship between psychological capital (PsyCap), employees’ innovative thinking and their behaviour. Motivation for study: Psychological has been associated with many outcomes, but relatively little previous addressed PsyCap innovation in South Africa. In a similar vein, there is much interest Innovator’s DNA model, it too received scrutiny. Combining these variables into single provided an opportunity address both gaps. approach/design method: design quantitative nature. model tested on sample 485 employees from travel automotive industries Main findings: mostly supported by data.
